The purpose of a reference scaffold is to both minimize the influence the scaffold has within an experimental set-up and provide a stable control for comparison. To do this effectively, both the physical and material characteristics of the scaffolds must be accurately reproduced scaffold after scaffold.

PoroGen Reference Scaffolds

PoroGen Reference Scaffolds provide standardized 3D environments for in vitro and in vivo cell based assays. We manufacture our scaffolds using a combination of Computer Aided Design (CAD), Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) and Rapid Prototyping (RP) technologies. This enables not only the overall shape of the scaffolds but also the macroporous architectures within the scaffolds to be specifically designed and faithfully reproduced, providing the greatest possible consistency scaffold to scaffold.

Stock and Custom Reference Scaffolds

PoroGen provides stock reference scaffolds in several biomaterials. These scaffolds offer a stable platform to support development of tissue engineering, stem cell and other biomedical research fields. PoroGen also provides a Made-to-Order service to manufacture custom scaffolds to customer specifications.
